About Sol De Montani®

Formerly known as Pancho Picante, Sol De Montani® is a farm to table and a seed to sauce micro-batch producer of hot sauces, seasonings, as well as offering an assorted selection of chile peppers grown with sustainable and regenerative farming practices.

With a passion for spicy food that was influenced from his father Francisco, who in Mexico are known as Pancho. There has never been a time our chef and owner does not remember making salsa and traditional Mexican dishes in the kitchen, learning all he could from his parents great cooking.

After years of cultivating and breeding peppers, crafting and perfecting various salsas and hot sauces, the pandemic presented an opportunity for our chef and owner, who was in the final stages of returning to school and graduating with a bachelors degree, to decide and return to his studies and gain an additional business minor in order to pursue a hot sauce and seasoning manufacturing company.

Upon graduating with a bachelors degree from WVUP and in the final stages of finalizing the manufacturing company, Our chef and owner was offered an opportunity to grow all of the peppers himself for Sol De Montani® at WVUP's the Riverhawk farm. Sol De Montani® then leased 1/3 acre from WVUP and throughout the season, over 5,000 lbs of peppers were harvested in 2023, and 7,000 lbs in 2024, with plans to return the following years.

We at Sol De Montani®, call ourselves "purveyors of flavor". Our primary focus is to enhance the flavor of food, not over power it or cover it with spicy. Our sauces and seasonings are flavor forward, with various levels of complimenting heat. We have adopted the idea of our sauces and seasonings making food "sabroso", or deliciously tasty.

We personally and truly believe in the magic of crafting at all times possible from Seed to Sauce™.
